James is one of our newest and most enthusiastic players who has already played in his first rugby match ever!

How much experience did you have of playing rugby before joining the Corsairs?
None...not even touched a rugby ball.

How did you first hear about Coventry Corsairs RFC?
Through Instagram.

What made you decide to join the club?
To be part of an inclusive community and to be part of a sports team without fear of not being good enough.

What's the best part of being a member of the Corsairs?
The team. We are such a supportive group who really build each other up. The coaches and players have so much patience in training people and really take their time to support and celebrate each person.

What are you most proud of achieving since joining the club?
Playing my first contact match

What's your favourite memory of being part of Coventry Corsairs RFC?
What goes on tour, stays on tour ;)

What advice would you give to anyone thinking of joining the club?
Give it a go! We have members of every level and ability - and it's great fun. The social side is fantastic and the training is great too. What have you got to lose!
